Children's Ministry

Amazing.  Awesome. Miracle. Delight.

Haven't you found that these common words take on new meaning and depth when you use them to describe your child? The heart of children's ministry at St. John is to teach kids about who God is and how these words apply to both GOD and THEM!  Through engaging teaching, supportive environments, and close knit small group classes, we guide kids towards a better understanding of what it means to have a real relationship with God. We want kids to know that the Bible is full of interesting stories that matter in their lives today, that fun and games are definitely allowed at church, that worship can be full of loud music and silly dancing, and that there are adults in the church who truly want to love and lead them closer to Jesus. In other words, we want them to know that where God is, life is a lot more amazing!

  • Sunday school

All children (PreK-6th Grade) meet in their Sunday School classrooms at 9:45am.

At 10:30am, students will join the 10:00 worship service (in progress in the Faith & Life Center) for the Children's Sermon, then are dismissed to join their families for the remainder of the service.

The focus of Sunday School is on classic Bible stories which help to build a strong foundation for lifelong learning!

  • Babies and Toddlers

Children are always welcome at worship, but if your child needs space and time to play, or parents need a break, our nursery is available on Sunday mornings for parents to use with their little ones. The nursery is located next to the Faith & Life Center for quick and easy access by parents.
