If you
are considering coming to Sunday worship for the first time, you
might have some questions.
 |
Where do I park? The main entrance and main parking lot for St. John is on the west side of
the building. Parking is also available on the streets surrounding St. John as well as in the lower level (north) parking lot.
How do I get to worship? After entering through the doors from the west parking lot, you will
walk into an entry way. The stairs lead upstairs to classrooms or down
to the nursery, preschool and more classrooms. If you park in the lower parking lot, the main level worship spaces can be accessed by going up the main staircase or using the elevator.

What's the atrium? The atrium is a large gathering space between our two worship
spaces. Coffee and donuts are available in the atrium between services and you'll find people lingering there to visit as well as table displays to look at and sign-up sheets for various activities. If you have any questions, need directions or want to pick up one of the special Guest brownie mixes ( our special surprise for you!), please stop at the Welcome Center and someone will be happy to assist you.
When is worship? Where? Worship services are held on Sunday mornings year-round. During Advent and Lent, we also hold Wendesday evening services. For Sunday mornings - If you intend to participate in the 9:30 Contemporary Worship service, the Faith & Life Center is the place to go. The Faith & Life Center is the large room with windows (to your left as you enter). The band may be warming up or people may be gathering.
Just pick up a bulletin from an usher at any of the doors and go
in, sit and be comfortable. If you are headed to the Traditional
service at 8:00 or the New Tradition service at 10:50, you will continue
through the atrium area, past the Welcome Center to the sanctuary. There
will be ushers at each door who will give you a bulletin and help
you find a seat.
Can my children come to worship with me? Children are welcome in worship (even those who make some noise). If, as a parent, you would like some relief, nursery services are available and your children are welcome to join the age-appropriate Sunday School class.
When is Sunday School? Sunday School is offered at 9:30 am for children ages 3 years through 6th grade and lasts one hour. It is offered September - May. For more on Sunday School, click here.
Can I use the nursery for my baby? Nursery services are provided for infants and toddlers under the age of 3. The nursery is located in the lower level and can be found by going down the staircase, turning left and heading through the double doors (past the restrooms and water fountain). There is no cost to use the nursery and all parents are given a special beeper that will page them to return to the nursery if needed.
You are welcome at St John. We look forward to meeting you! |
